Dr. Habib is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. A graduate of the University of Birmingham Medical School in Birmingham, England, Dr. Habib completed his Internal Medicine and Critical Care training at UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Habib practiced Internal Medicine and Critical Care at Kaiser Permanente since 1982, where he has also served as ICU Chief, Chief of Quality and Chief of Medicine.
Dr. Habib has been the FCCS (Fundamentals of Critical Care support) Course Consultant for Kaiser Northern California since 1999 and has s won multiple awards for teaching and patient care.
Nazir Habib has been the Medical Director for Respiratory Therapy at the Napa Valley College since 1996. He is currently the ICU Director at Lodi Memorial and Professor in Critical Care and Internal Medicine at California North State Medical School. He is currently involved in Simulation training for medical students, nurses and pharmacists and ACLS instruction. He has travelled as a volunteer and teacher to many areas including India, Malaysia, Pakistan and East Africa. He has been involved in many quality projects that focus on sepsis care, fluid management and ventilator care. Dr. Habib is focused on improvement quality of care and patient safety and developing protocols for caring for critically ill patients.
